R2-D2 Character/Materials

Last year, the ILM Moment Challenge got me started down the path to creating Star Wars themed Fan Art. Life took a few turns on me, and I was not able to complete the challenge, but the itch has been waiting since then to be scratched. I picked up a lot of freebie Star Wars content before discovering I could not use it in the challenge, but there's no reason not to use it now. Of course, what you can get for free is not always complete or ready to use, so I've been going through it and making the additions and adjustments to produce decent results. R2-D2 was the first I worked on. R2 needed postwork to achieve a realistic look, so instead of a full-scene render, I went with a composited final character study (simultaneous front and back views).
