Emerald Mountains Lake

Digital painting using personal stock for clouds and grass, and base rock texture used to create mountains. Sandstone pit and foothills created from scratch in Photoshop. The composition evolved from exercises in creating believable terrain features, with stock elements added to flesh out the image. The most challenging aspect was the lake reflection, which took several attempts and a bit of online research to develop a technique I am happy with.
